BACK FOR 2010

Another way to win! A "second-chance" pool is being offered to everyone for no additional fee.

OVERVIEW

• The Rethinking & Repicking Pool is open to everyone who participated in the Main Pool. Everyone should submit an entry!
• IMPORTANT! There is no double-dipping. If you "place" in the money for the Main Pool, no matter which position, you cannot win the Second-Chance Pool.
• Entry fee is free.
• One entry per brain (person).
• Entries must be submitted no later than THURSDAY, MARCH 25 at 7:00PM EST (your web entry is auto time-stamped).
• Fill out the entire bracket on the Entry Form and click SUBMIT PICKS. You will then have an opportunity to print out your choices using your web browser. There is no way to update your picks online after you've submitted them - so all changes must be emailed to Mark prior to Thursday at 7:00PM EST.

SCORING

Scoring is identical to the Main Pool.

You receive points for every game you get correct, calculated as:

Fixed Round Points  +  (Round# X Seed#) Points

Fixed Round Points

3rd Round =  4 Points
4th Round =  8 Points
5th Round = 16 Points
6th Round = 32 Points (You Picked the Champion!)

(Round# X Seed#) Points

Round# = 3, 4, 5, or 6
Seed#  = 1 through 16

SCORING EXAMPLE

You pick Butler (a 5th seed) to beat Syracuse (a 1st seed) in the 3rd Round.
If they win, you will receive points for this game as follows:

FIXED ROUND POINTS      =  4 Points (3rd Round Victory)
(ROUND# X SEED#) POINTS = 15 Points (3rd Round TIMES 5th Seed)
                          ---------
TOTAL FOR THIS GAME     = 19 Points

PAYOUT

For 2010, the Rethinking & Repicking Pool payout is $100.

At the end of the tournament, total points will determine the single winner. In the case of a tie, the player with the closest total score in the Championship Game will rank higher in the standings.

As stated above, you cannot win the Rethinking & Repicking Pool if you end up "placing" in the Main Pool. If that were to occur, I will move down the standings until I find the first person who did not "place" in the Main Pool.
